During the Hanukkah celebration thief came into the factory to steal sometihing. But in the up stairs the family wasn't sure it is a green police or thief. So there were suprised and they tried to make no sound to not be caught. But Peter's cat made a sound so they had inform that someone is hiding in the house. So they thoaght the thief will report to green police but Mr.Dussel said the thief will not say that someone is hiding in factory because if he say that he will also be caught because he was a thief.

Nazis had harmed Jewish people in many way. They distoryed their life and killed even children. But Mr.Frank is talking that even they had many hardship they can't look trough their mind. Any wall, bolts, locks can't control there mind. It means like there mind is very strong and there have proud.

I think this play reveals how important freedom is. Lots of people have freedom but they don't know how freedom is important. In the play there are love between Anne and his father Mr.Frank. He gave her daughter an power to live. This love also gave her an courage to live and hope to survive. That helps Anne to live in the Secret Annex that is fill with silent. In the play good and evil had shown. For evil Nazis, betrayers, and thief is there. As a good there is Mr.Kraler and Miep helped Mr. Frank. The theme of this play had relates to "When My Name Was Keoko." In this play Jews had persecuted by Japan and had lost there freedom from Japanese. Also in the "When My Name Was Keok" Sun-Hee and Tae-yul had lost there freedom and to speak, and lost there friends.

Why are there so many books, movies, documentaries, etc. about the Holocaust? Why do we keep retelling this story?

Holocaust was a very serious event during the 19th century. Because more then 6 million Jews had died. If this doesn't retells by people and no one cares about it this horrible thing could happen again and same thing will repeat. So thats why people are keep retelling this story and make a books, movies, documentaries, etc about the Holocaust.

I think Peter and Anne showed a teenage attitude. During the play Peter wanted to stay alone and Anne liked to talk. This kind of attitudes usually shows to teenagers. Normally, teenagers like to talk and share their worry and secrets. So I think that is why Anne like her diary to share her secrets and worrys and Peter like his cat to play.

In the Annex there were a some conflict between Anne and the other people's. All of the people was comparing with Anne and Margot. They compare with Margot when Anne do something bad. There was a conflict wth Mrs. Van Daan when she spilt a drink on her coat. And there was a conflict between Peter and Anne because she hide Peters shoes. If these conflict dont stop there will be caught by police because of the sound when they fight.

I think the most hardest part in living in the Secret Annex is that being quite during the day time and don't turning the light during night. If I was Anne I will be crazy because it is so boring. There is no thing to do and nothingis fun in there. They can't do anything because if they play so loudly they will be caught by the police. And also they can't met there friends so I think living in the Secret Annex would be very boring and painful.

In the play there is a mention of Anne "She picks up a pair of short white gloves." By reffering to this quote I inffered that the glove Mr.Frank saw is Anne's. And I think the reason that Mr.Frank broke down was because Anne was his good daughter and bad memories came out as he saw the white gloves.

Theme

I think the theme of this book is that even though situation you are in is very horrible, always live with hope and have positive minds. Even though she was living in the Secret Annex, she tried not to live out every day with despair. During the play she doesn't feel bad that she was a Jew but instead tries to keep her values. I think she is a strong girl that shows the play's theme which is to be strong willed and have hope even if you are in a horrible situation.

Prejudice

What I know about prejudice is that people doesn't treat them well without a good reason. Such as religion, skin color or etc. And this is what I know about prejudice.

What I know Holocaust

What I know about holocaust is that it happened during the world war 2, when Hitler started to arrest and kill Jews. Jews had to sew a yellow star on there cloths. If Jews were cought by Hitler they will be sended to concerntration camp. So they didn't wanted to send there so they hid to place that Nazi's couldn't find them. Germany ruled almost all of the Europe, so Jews couldn't hid anywhere and that made Jews more difficult to hid.

Plot(when my name was keoko)

"When my name was keoko" is about Korea family when Korea was under japanese control. The family member is Sun-hee, Tae-yul, Omoni, Abuji, and Uncle. Sun-hee is the youngest girl in the family. She is very curious girl so she always want to know whats going on in her family. And Tae-yul is also very curious so he works with her sister Sun-hee to find out whats going on in his family and in his country. Tae yul volunteer for Japan military and he recieves a speacial assignment and that assignment is Kamikaze which is suicidal mission. But he free from Japan because Japanese emporror surrender.

Characterization(When my name was Keoko)

The main Character in this novel is Sun-hee. Sun-hee is a little girl and very ordinary like others. She has many curiosity about every thing. One day uncle drew a Korean flag and explain each part of the flag. She was very happy to learn about her country. From that day she was interested about her country. One day she found a leaflet. It was written in Korean. Then she started to have a concern about Korean Alphabet. So she ask to her father to teach her Korean Alphabet, But her father said he will teach her one day when we are free to learn Korean.

"When my name was Keoko" Chapter(1~18)
This novel is about a family in Korea when Korea was in under Japan control.
There family love there own country so much, but Japan have took so much from them. Name, Language, Family, Money, and Steal. Uncle was so mad at this so he decided to be a rebel. He made a newspaper only for Korean. IF he was cought by Japan he will be in trouble, so he acted like Chin-il-pa. Sun-hee and Tae-yul didn't know what was Uncle was doing, but one day Sun-hee's friend came and tell Uncle will be in trouble, so she ran to her Uncle and tell something dangerous thing will happen to him. So Uncle ran away.

secret story

When I was elementary school student I invite my friends to my house. I talk and play computer games and eat dinner. Then few hours later one of my friend fell asleep. So me and my friends paste toothpaste on my friends finger. Then we arouse him from sleep. when he woke up he rub his eyes with his fingers. Then he started to scream and chase us in anger. Then when he almost reach us he tumble over by chair. Later that became a secret story between my friends and me.

courage

I David Bak was surrounded by 5 bullies in middle school because I spilled milk to the bully's girlfriend. I was very scared, but I managed to prepare myself. I held my fist and stood tall against the bully. Without any signs of cowardness, I talked tough to the bully and managed to scare him away. That was when I felt I had nothing to worry about. There would be no enemies that would bother me. This is part of my identity; that I will be full of courage.
